Emily Mann's well-reviewed revival of Edward Albee's All Over, which the Roundabout Theatre Company plucked from the McCarter Theatre Company's winter slot from earlier this year, opens June 27 at Off Broadway's Gramercy Theatre following previews that began June 7.

The limited engagement continues to Sept. 1.

All Over will be the last Roundabout show — or play of any sort, for that matter — to grace the Gramercy before the building reverts this fall to the film house it once was. The owners of the theatre recently leased the edifice to the Museum of Modern Art for its film series.

All Over — a unique domestic drama that opens with a sick man in bed, surrounded by those in his life, all in middle age or older — began previews Feb. 12 and closed March 3 at Princeton's McCarter Theatre. In the room are the man's former wife (Rosemary Harris), long-term mistress (Michael Learned) and daughter (Pamela Nyberg). The New York run of the production also stars Myra Carter (The Nurse), John Carter (The Best Friend), Patrick Garner (The Son), Bill Moor (The Doctor) and (as Newspapermen) Richard Cottrell, Keith Dixon and Chuck McMahon. William Biff McGuire, who appeared in the NJ run, is now starring in Morning's at Seven, for which he received a Tony nomination.

Albee is hot in Manhattan in 2002: The Goat or Who Is Sylvia? is currently provoking audiences on Broadway (it won the Tony, New York Drama Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards for Best Play), and Occupant, at Off Broadway's Signature Theatre, played briefly in February before star Anne Bancroft took ill, but the play will reopen before the end of the year. Also due in New York: a revival of Seascape and the new play, Lorca. The original 1971 staging of All Over starred Jessica Tandy and Colleen Dewhurst under John Gielgud's direction. The current cast is steeped in the playwright's work. Harris, who last starred in Waiting in the Wings on Broadway, acted, alongside John Carter, in Albee's A Delicate Balance on Broadway in 1996. Myra Carter gave the performance of a lifetime in Albee's Three Tall Women.

Designers for All Over are Thomas Lynch (set), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costumes) and Allen Lee Hughes (lighting).
