PlayBlog A Listen to Gatz at the Public Theater The words of F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" are currently filling the halls of the Public Theater, where the New York premiere of Elevator Repair Service's Gatz is playing an extended engagement.

The six-and-a-half-hour theatrical event presents the entire novel in dramatic form with no words added or removed. Gatz takes shape as an office worker begins reading the novel. His co-workers and the story begin to intermingle as the novel comes to life and swirls about him.
