News A Look at the New York Premiere of A Delicate Ship at The Playwrights Realm The Playwrights Realm's New York premiere of Anna Ziegler's A Delicate Ship began previews Aug. 18 prior to an official opening Aug. 27 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street).

Directed by Margot Bordelon, performances will continue through Sept. 12.

The cast features Matt Dellapina (Nicky Silver’s Too Much Sun) as Sam, Miriam Silverman (Sheila Callaghan’s Everything You Touch) as Sarah and Drama Desk Award winner Nick Westrate (Harvey Fierstein’s Casa Valentina) as Nate.

"It's Christmas Eve," press notes state, "and Sarah and Sam are celebrating like New Yorkers: flirting over wine and debating the nature of existential suffering. Then there is a knock on the door, and Sarah’s childhood friend Nate stands at the threshold. And suddenly suffering becomes a whole lot less sexy. A kaleidoscopic look at one night in New York City that changes the lives of three people forever."
