The evening, a benefit for Transport Group, includes a conversation between Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III and five-time Tony nominee Michael John LaChiusa, focusing on the development of LaChiusa's work. Special guests—all original cast members of LaChiusa's musicals, include Tony winner Michele Pawk, Tony nominees Carolee Carmello, Marc Kudisch, Mary Testa, and Broadway stars Maureen Moore, Alice Playten and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

They will perform songs that LaChiusa composed for them in the musicals The Wild Party, Hello Again, Marie Christine, Little Fish and First Lady Suite.

Transport Group presents its production of First Lady Suite, about the wives of American presidents, beginning April 1 at the Connelly Theatre, 220 E. 4th Street.

* Founded in 2001 by artistic director Jack Cummings III and associate artistic director Robyn Hussa and others, Transport Group presented its premiere production in 2002: Thornton Wilder's Our Town, which featured older actors in the roles of Emily and George. Transport Group's second production, Requiem for William, an evening of seven seldom-produced plays by William Inge, featured a cast of 26 as well as original songs, in 2003.
