Green, the West End stage veteran of Follies, Passion and Sunday in the Park with George, created the musical tribute to the late Noël Coward. The production celebrates what would have been the 109th birthday (on Dec. 16) of the theatre great.
Running through Jan. 4, 2009, at 59E59 Theater's Holiday E:Café, the evening of song "blends great Coward classics and some rediscovered comedy gems, unearthed from the British Library, with lesser-known work." Green is joined by musical director and archivist David Shrubsole.
Off-Broadway Green has directed Absolutely Fascinating, Cooking for Kings and Beau Brummel. Green appeared in the original West End productions of Sondheim's Follies, Passion and Sunday in the Park with George, and portrayed Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast and Whizzer in March of the Falsettos for London audiences.
