News A Noise Within's Heartbreak House Opens April 9 The husband and wife team of Julia Rodriguez Elliott and Geoff Elliott, who recently won multiple prizes from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle for their 1998 work at Glendale, CA's A Noise Within, will co-direct George Bernard Shaw's 1916 masterpiece Heartbreak House when it opens April 9 at the company's Glendale venue.

The husband and wife team of Julia Rodriguez Elliott and Geoff Elliott, who recently won multiple prizes from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle for their 1998 work at Glendale, CA's A Noise Within, will co-direct George Bernard Shaw's 1916 masterpiece Heartbreak House when it opens April 9 at the company's Glendale venue.

The couple have previously co-directed at A Noise Within The Little Foxes, Another Part of the Forest, The Glass Menagerie, Great Expectations, The Three Sisters, Of Mice and Men, All My Sons and Our Town.

The Elliotts are classically trained, having studied at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.

Cast as Captain Shotover in Heartbreak House is Mitchell Edmonds, presently playing the Corinthian Messenger in Oedipus the King at A Noise Within.

Co-starring is Deborah Strang, who has been a key member of A Noise Within's rep company for the past eight years. Heartbreak House will play in repertory with Joe Orton's What the Butler Saw. The two productions conclude the company's 1999 spring season.
