News ABBA Documentary — with Mamma Mia! Highlights — to Air on Ovation Ovation—The Arts Network will air a new ABBA documentary Jan. 16.

Entitled "Super Troupers," the 90-minute documentary traces the history of the pop group ABBA, including highlights of ABBA on tour and on stage with interviews of all four original ABBA members. The program also boasts exclusive footage from both rehearsals and performances of Mamma Mia! as well as a medley of tunes from London's 5th Anniversary Gala Special Finale, which includes "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen" and "Waterloo."

"Super Troupers" debuts on Ovation Jan. 16 at 4 PM ET; check local listings. Ovation airs in New York on Time Warner Cable on Channel 83 and RCN Cable Channel 58. Repeat broadcasts of "Super Troupers" are scheduled for Jan. 19 at 10:30 PM, Jan. 20 at 2:30 AM, Jan. 22 at 8 PM, Jan. 23 at 12 AM, Jan. 25 at 8 PM, Jan. 26 at 12 AM and Jan. 30 at 9 AM.

Mamma Mia!, the international hit musical featuring the songs of ABBA, has grossed more than one billion dollars worldwide since opening in the West End in April 1999. The musical, which continues to play Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre, has taken in nearly 190 million dollars in North America alone this year. Those productions include Broadway, Las Vegas, Toronto and the North American tour.

Mamma Mia! features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, a book by Catherine Johnson, direction by Phyllida Lloyd and choreography by Anthony Van Laast. Over 20 million people have seen the musical, which has more productions playing around the world than any other current Broadway musical.

Mamma Mia! plays the Winter Garden Theatre, which is located in New York City at 1634 Broadway. The current New York company stars Carolee Carmello, Judy McLane and Liz McCartney. For tickets, call (212) 239-6262. The musical offers performances Wednesday through Saturdays at 8 PM, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 2 and 7 PM.
