News Acclaimed Actors F. Murray Abraham, Danny Burstein and Andy Karl Part of The Drama League's Winter Season The Drama League has announced that Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham (It’s Only a Play) and Tony Award nominees Danny Burstein (Cabaret) and Andy Karl (Rocky) will be featured in their winter "Up Close Series" of intimate discussions with leading theatre professionals.

The schedule for the Up Close Series is as follows:

Up Close: Danny Burstein
Feb. 6 at 5 PM
Danny Burstein is currently appearing in his Tony Award-nominated role in Cabaret on Broadway. He has been previously nominated for a Tony Award for his performances in Golden Boys, Follies, South Pacific and The Drowsy Chaperone. The discussion will be moderated by his wife and fellow-performer, Rebecca Luker.

Up Close: F. Murray Abraham
March 2 at 7 PM
F. Murray Abraham is an Academy Award-winning actor whose film credits include "Amadeus," "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "Inside Llewyn Davis." He is currently on Broadway in It's Only a Play.

Andy Karl was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as the title character in Rocky. His Broadway credits include The Mystery of Edward Drood and Legally Blonde: The Musical, and will be seen next in the revival of On the Twentieth Century.

All events in the series are held at the Drama League Theater Center. The Drama League's winter season will also feature two special events: A Musical Celebration of Broadway Honoring James Earl Jones on Feb. 2 and the Drama League Awards on May 15. The company has also announced a monthly new play development series called "Rough Draft," allowing directors to explore the earliest developmental stages of a play, musical or devised project via a one-day residency.
