The Australian-born Daniel Koek makes his U.S. cabaret debut July 19 telling (and singing) the story of his rise to stardom as Jean Valjean in the London production of Les Misérables, and many other roles, in his cabaret show titled West End Story.

He’ll perform songs and stories from his 14-year career, with the help of Betsy Struxness (Hamilton, Matilda), Tam Mutu (Doctor Zhivago), and Alicia Krakauer (NEXT) at the 7 PM concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

In addition to performing in his native Australia, Koek has done musical theatre in playhouses across Europe and Asia, playing leading roles in West Side Story, Chess, and South Pacific. But he made a special mark in London, where he became the youngest performer to play Jean Valjean during the long run of Les Mis in that city. He recently released his second studio album, High.

Produced by Megan Minutillo, West End Story will have music direction by Macy Schmidt.

Here is the running order for his concert, subject to change:

1. Phantom Medley

2. “Something’s Coming”

3. “Maria”

4. Where I want to Be

5. “Bali Ha’i”

6. “So She Dances”

7. “I Am What I Am”
