The three grants will be awarded to Dania Gurira and Nikkole Salter, the writers and stars of the Off-Broadway hit In the Continuum, and to Carolyn Cantor, the artistic director of the Edge Theatre. The awards will be presented at a special luncheon June 15 at the Players Club. The third Marion Seldes-Garson Kanin Fellowship Luncheon will also pay tribute to the co-founders of the Theatre Hall of Fame, producers James M. Nederlander and Elizabeth I. McCann.
The noon luncheon will be hosted by Pia Lindstrom and will feature a performance by Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba. Marian Seldes will be on hand for the presentation of the three fellowships.
The Players Club is located in Manhattan at 16 Gramercy Park South. Tickets for the luncheon, priced $150, are available by calling (212) 307-1226.
