Cho returns to the Public with a play about a teacher and a student “desperate the change the narrative of who they are and how their story ends.” In the taut new drama, Gina, a teacher, spends a day in her office with a student whose reputation is as unsettling as it is threatening.

The cast will lead by Sue Jean Kim (The End of Longing, Aubergine) as Gina, and Ki Hong Lee (Maze Runner) as the student, Dennis. They will be joined by Adeola Role, who was last seen on Broadway in Eclipsed and is set to return in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this spring, and Greg Keller (Our Mother’s Brief Affair).

“As the clock ticks down, Gina realizes that good versus bad is nothing more than a convenient illusion, and that the isolated young student in her office has learned one thing above all else: that for the powerless, the ability to terrify others is powerful indeed,“ read production notes for Office Hour.

Performances will begin October 17 ahead of a November 8 opening. The limited engagement is scheduled through December 3.

Office Hour will feature scenic design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind, and original music and sound design by Bray Poor.

The Public will offer free tickets to the first performance through its “Free For All” initiative via the TodayTix mobile lottery. Tickets are now on sale by calling (212) 967-7555, visiting PublicTheater.org, or in person at the Taub Box Office at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
