Threesixty entertainment created and produces the production that debuted in London last season and currently plays San Francisco. Peter Pan will conclude its San Francisco engagement Aug. 29 prior to arriving in Costa Mesa Sept. 28. An official opening has been set for Oct. 3. Peter Pan tours within its own custom circular tent that seats over 1,200 and necessitates a large open park space at each of its destinations. The Costa Mesa engagement will settle next to the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
The production has earned acclaim for its arresting visual effects that allow the cast to fly freely above the audience against a circular CGI screen that depicts flying and underwater scenes. At one point, Peter, Wendy and the boys fly above 400 square miles of London on their journey to Neverland.
Peter Pan features original London principal cast members Nate Fallows as Peter, Abby Ford as Wendy Darling, Jonathan Hyde as Capt Hook/Mr. Darling and Itxaso Moreno as Tinker Bell. Additional London actors include Darrell Brockis, Benjamin Chamberlain, Samantha Hopkins, Ciaran Joyce, Zoot Lynam, Mohsen Nouri, David Poynor, Antony Strachan, Ian Street, Lee Turnbull and Arthur Wilson.
American actors also perform as part of the U.S. engagement, including Heidi Beuhler as Tiger Lily.
Ben Harrison directed Peter Pan, which was adapted from the J.M. Barrie tale by Tanya Ronder. William Dudley serves as designer, with Mark Henderson as lighting designer, Gregory Clarke as sound designer, Sue Buckmaster as head of puppetry and Fleur Darkin as choreographer.
