Teatro Nuestro ("Our Theatre"), the acclaimed theatrical project of the late actor Carlos Carella, closed after a two-year run on Aug. 2. The play, actually three different short plays by contemporary Argentine authors, was an idea of the late actor Carlos Carella, who died before seeing his dream fulfilled. He wanted to offer the public three different plays played by a superb cast and with magnificent sets, at a minimal cost.
The cast was lead by Ulises Dummont, Pepe Soriano and Cipe Linkovsky, among many other important names. The audience had the chance to see all three plays (separated by a short interval), or choose just one or two. Besides the big audience respond and the critical praise, there has been no talk of putting together a second cycle of plays.
