Tony Award-winner Alan Cumming, lauded for his role in Roundabout Theatre Company's Cabaret, will perform with musical director Patrick Vaccariello at a special Roundabout Theatre Company benefit Dec. 2 in New York City.

The event will feature a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by 30-minute performance by Cumming and a special scholarship presentation for Roundabout's Arts-in-Education Program. The benefit will take place at The Tribeca Grand Hotel, with the reception beginning at 6 PM and the performance at 8 PM.

Cumming won his Tony for his turn in the Broadway revival of Cabaret and later starred in the Roundabout's Design for Living. He was recently on the New York stage in the Art Party's mounting of Elle. The Scottish-born thespian has appeared in such films as "Eyes Wide Shut," "Circle of Friends," Lion King director Julie Taymor's feature-film debut "Titus," "Spy Kids" and "The Anniversary Party" — which he co-wrote, co-directed and co-starred with Cabaret co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh. Cumming will also appear in the upcoming films "Nicholas Nickleby" and "X-Men 2," and his debut book, "Tommy's Tale," is now in stores.

Actresses Polly Bergen, Jane Krakowski and Cynthia Nixon serve as the honorary chairs of the event which will acknowledge The Hadar Foundation for establishing the Roundabout Theatre Scholarship. The new scholarship will support the college education of a student — to be chosen from the many NYC public schools participating in Roundabout's Arts-in-Education programs — pursuing studies in theatre.

Tickets to the event are $150 and can purchased by calling Elaina Grillo at (212) 719-9393. For more information on the Roundabout Theatre Company, visit www.RoundaboutTheatre.org.
