News Alan Menken Will Premiere New Solo Show A Whole New World of Alan Menken will make its debut in Costa Mesa, CA.

Tony and eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken will debut his new one-man show, A Whole New World of Alan Menken, September 30 at 8 PM at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

The evening of story and song is written and performed by Menken and directed by Richard Kraft, who was recently the creative director of Disney’s The Little Mermaid In Concert at The Hollywood Bowl starring Sara Bareilles and Rebel Wilson.

Menken’s stage musicals include God Bless You Mr. Rosewater, Atina: Evil Queen of the Galaxy, Real Life Funnies, Little Shop of Horrors, Kicks, The Dream on Royal Street, Beauty and The Beast, A Christmas Carol, Weird Romance, King David, The Little Mermaid, Sister Act, Leap of Faith, Newsies, Aladdin, A Bronx Tale, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz. Song and score credits for film musicals include The Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, Newsies, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, The Shaggy Dog, Home on the Range, Enchanted, Tangled and Mirror Mirror.

A Whole New World of Alan Menken is produced by Laura Engel, Richard Kraft, Alison Ahart Williams and Tim Fox.
