News Alchemy Theatre Company to Present Harvest Off-Broadway Nov. 30 The Alchemy Theatre Company will present the Off-Broadway debut of David Wright Crawford's latest work, Harvest, beginning Nov. 30.

Press notes describe Harvest as "a tender and poignant story about a west Texas cotton farmer. Spanning 45 years, the farmer battles to keep his farm and his family while struggling against inevitable change. In the spirit of Anton Chekhov, with the surroundings of Horton Foote, this timely account of what could be the last generation of an American family farm. An inspirational, epic tale that asks the question, 'How would you choose to live your life' and 'At the end of your life…where do you want to die?'"

Morgan Baker, Kathleen Huber, Judson Jones, Christa Kimlicko Jones, Richard Mawe, Doug Sheppard, Kymberlie Stansell, Jeremy Stuart and Shorey Walker will star in Crawford's drama under the direction of Judson Jones (Alchemy associate director) and Benard Cummings (Alchemy producing artistic director).

The Harvest creative team includes set design by Terry Gipson, costume design by Ben Taylor Ridgeway, lighting design by Jessica M. Burgess and sound design and original music by Scott O'Brien.

Harvest officially opens Dec. 4 and will continue its limited Off-Broadway engagement through Dec. 23 at the Beckett Theatre, located in Manhattan at 410 West 42nd Street.
