Directed by Tony winner Tony Walton, the production — about the bewildering crime of a teen-age boy — will play East Hampton's John Drew Theater at Guild Hall June 8-July 3. No other casting has been announced. The Times reports that playwright Shaffer will rewrite portions of the script for the upcoming production.

"Harry Potter" co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Tony and Olivier Award winner Richard Griffiths starred in the recent Broadway revival of Equus, which ended its run Feb. 8, 2009, at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Equus bowed on Broadway in October 1974 at the Plymouth Theatre. The production — directed by John Dexter — won the 1975 Tony for Best Play and ran 1,209 performances. Playwright Shaffer is also the author of Amadeus, Lettice and Lovage, The Royal Hunt of the Sun and White Liars & Black Comedy.

Baldwin was most recently on Broadway in Twentieth Century. His other Broadway credits include A Streetcar Named Desire (Tony nomination), Serious Money and Loot (Theatre World Award). Baldwin was also nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in "The Cooler" and won two Emmys for his work in "30 Rock."

Baldwin will co-host the Academy Awards, which will be broadcast March 7.
