Starring Alex Brightman (Big Fish, Matilda the Musical), who will inhabit 20 characters and perform 10 songs, the readings will be held Oct. 9 at 3 PM and Oct. 10 at 11 AM.

The musical, written by Marc Acito (Allegiance, A Room with a View), is adapted from his novel of the same title.

"This hilarious coming-of-age musical tells the story of a young actor who steals the tuition money from his wealthy father because he refuses to pay for his dream school, Juilliard," press notes state. "Based on Acito's misspent youth, this tale of embezzlement, money laundering, identity theft, forgery and blackmail is, according to the writer, 'just true enough to keep me out of jail.' College, adapted from the award winning and bestselling novel, is a story about the risks we take to make our dreams come true."

The Pearl Studios are located at 500 8th Ave. The readings are invitation only. For additional information, email [email protected].
