News Algonquin's 2006-2007 Line-Up to Include Sullivan, Marcovicci, Maggart and More The fall 2006 and winter 2007 schedule at the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room has been announced.

Sarah Partridge will kick off the fall season at the famed cabaret, playing Sept. 5-9. She will be followed by the smooth tones of Jack Jones, Sept. 12-23.

KT Sullivan, whose Broadway credits include Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Three Penny Opera, will team with Allan Harris for Mercer & Ellington: American Naturals. The Mercer-Ellington tribute will be offered Sept. 26-Oct. 14.

Sheera Ben-David, the first runner-up in the Oak Room's recent Young Artists Competition, will perform Oct. 17-21, and Paula West will play the intimate venue Oct. 24-Nov. 11. The year will come to a close with cabaret favorite Andrea Marcovicci, who will hold fort at the Oak Room from Nov. 14, 2006, through Jan. 13, 2007.

The New Year will continue with Marcovicci's young protégé, Maude Maggart, who will entertain Algonquin audiences from Jan. 16-Feb. 3. The winter season will also include jazz favorites Sandy Stewart and Bill Charlap Feb. 13-25.

The Algonquin is currently presenting Karen Akers through May 13. The newest show from Akers, whose Broadway outings include Grand Hotel and Nine, is titled First You Dream: The Songs of Kander & Ebb.
