Cabaret fixture and tunesmith Amanda Green, whose father, lyricist-librettist Adolph Green, died Oct. 23, has canceled her Oct. 28 show at Westbank Café.
With the thought that her father would have wanted the engagement to continue — for the show to go on, as they say — her November performances with singer Jim Caruso will play as planned, Nov. 11 and 18.
The show is billed as 2wice as Much Fun, and started Oct. 21 at the Westbank's Laurie Beechman Theater.
Amanda Green has, over the past few seasons, brought her comical act, Put a Little Love in Your Mouth, to a variety of spaces, including the Duplex and Second Stage.
The new show features tongue-in-cheek songs by Amanda Green and others. The Oct. 21 performance included a rendering of Betty Comden and Adolph Green's "Ohio." Billy Stritch is the musical director and pianist. The Westbank Cafe is 407 W. 42nd St. at Ninth. For information, call (212) 695-6909.
