Magpie previously had a staged reading at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2006.

His other theatre credits include Platinum, Taking My Turn and Sheba. Founded in 1968, Amas Musical Theatre is an advocate for diversity and multi-ethnic casting in the performing arts.
