Glee's Amber Riley announced September 20 on Instagram that she has joined forces with British leading ladies Beverley Knight (The Bodyguard, Memphis) and Cassidy Jansen (Beautiful, Wicked) for a new album of showtunes, Songs from the Stage.
Among the scores represented on the new album are Hamilton, Rent, Once, The Wild Party, and Funny Girl. All three leading ladies will also sing from their recent stage successes, including Dreamgirls (a West End production currently stars Riley as Effie White), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Jansen is currently the West End's Carole King), and The Bodyguard (Knight replaced Heather Headley as Rachel Marron in 2013).
The album is set to release November 17 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon UK.
