Classic Arts News Andr_ Rieu Tops Billboard Classical Chart Violinist Andr_ Rieu's The Flying Dutchman reached number one on the Billboard classical chart this week for the second time.
The album, a companion to the PBS special and DVD of the same name featuring pop songs and waltzes, has spent 10 weeks on the chart, and last reached number one in mid-October. Rieu now has three of the top six spots on the chart, with New Year's in Vienna at number four and Tuscany at number six.

Cecilia Bartoli's Opera Proibita, displaced from the top spot after a month, fell to number three; Ren_e Fleming's Sacred Songs stayed at number two.

Little changed on the classical-crossover chart, with Il Divo's Christmas Collection again at number one and the group's self-titled debut at number two.
