The In the Heights star will review her past and preview her future in her Greenwich Village concert.

Andréa Burns, who originated the role of Daniela in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights, and who recently appeared on Broadway in On Your Feet!, will offer a recap of her life and career so far in the solo show Done It and Dreaming It September 25 at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in New York’s Greenwich Village.

“Recounting and revisiting the variety of roles she has played,” Burns says she will “take the audience with her as she considers legendary roles yet to come.” The curtain rises at 7:30 PM at the Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, Manhattan, under the music direction of Kurt Crowley, conductor of Broadway’s Hamilton. Burns is a Drama Desk Award winner who has also appeared in The Nance, Beauty and the Beast, The Full Monty, and The Ritz on Broadway. Off-Broadway, she has been in the original casts of Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World and Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night.

Burns was recently featured in the all-female 1776 concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below in New York. She played Edward Rutledge to Carolee Carmelo’s John Adams.

She has appeared in numerous TV shows including Blue Bloods, Jessica Jones, Rescue Me, The Electric Company, and Law & Order: SVU. Her film credits include Akron and The Prince. Her solo album is titled A Deeper Shade of Red.

As a performing guest on Playbill Cruises, Burns ruled the waves on Playbill Travel’s September 2016 Broadway on the High Seas 7 cruise to Italy and on the August 2017 Rhine River cruise.
