News Andrew Keenan-Bolger to Join Broadway Cast of Mary Poppins Andrew Keenan-Bolger, whose Broadway credits include Seussical and Beauty and the Beast, will join the New York cast of the long-running musical Mary Poppins Oct. 12 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Keenan-Bolger will step into the role of Robertson Ay, a part he played in the North American touring production of the family-friendly musical. He succeeds Mark Price, who played his final performance Oct. 10.

The singing actor will join a cast that currently features Laura Michelle Kelly in the title role, Gavin Lee as Bert, Karl Kenzler as George Banks, Megan Osterhaus as Winifred Banks, Valerie Boyle as Mrs. Brill, Ann Arvia as Miss Andrew, Jessica Sheridan as Bird Woman and Jonathan Freeman as Admiral Boom. Alternating in the role of Jane Banks are Catherine Missal, Rachel Resheff and Rozi Baker; alternating in the role of Michael Banks are Christopher Flaim, David Gabriel Lerner and Ethan Haberfield.

Produced by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh, Mary Poppins will mark four years on Broadway Nov. 16.

Richard Eyre directs Mary Poppins, which features choreography and co-direction by Matthew Bourne and boasts original songs from the film — with music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman — as well as new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Julian Fellowes wrote the book.
