PlayBlog Andrew Lippa Records "It Gets Better" with Texas State University (Video) Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa has released his new song, "It Gets Better," featuring musical theatre students from Texas State University singing to support the "It Gets Better" campaign.

Columnist Dan Savage founded the national anti-bullying campaign in September 2010, in response to the outbreak of teenage suicides among the LGBT community. Since then, Broadway stars and creatives have made videos sharing their personal struggle with bullying, coming out and accepting themselves—all ending in the promise that it will, in fact, "get better."

Lippa, known for composing the music of The Addams Family and The Wild Party, among others, has written a song to express his message against bullying. While serving as the first composer in residence for Texas State University's musical theatre program, Lippa teamed up with the students and the head of the musical theatre program, Kaitlin Hopkins, to say, "It Gets Better."
