The 8 PM concert will highlight Schwartz's theatre and film music, including songs from Wicked, Godspell, Pippin and "Enchanted." NYCO's season will include the New York premiere of Schwartz's opera Séance on a Wet Afternoon in April.
Tony Award nominee Victor Garber (Sweeney Todd) will host the concert in the David H. Koch Theater. In addition to Callaway (Swing), the evening will include the previously announced Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) and Tony nominee Raúl Esparza (Company).
Olivier Award-winning actress Elaine Paige (Evita, Sunset Boulevard) and Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell (Ragtime, Women on the Verge…) have withdrawn from the concert due to scheduling conflicts.
