News Anne Hathaway Joins Public Theater's Gatsby-Inspired "Chasing The Green Light" Event Academy Award-nominated actress Anne Hathaway, who appeared in the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, will be part of the Public Theater's Oct. 18 "Chasing The Green Light" Public Forum event.

"Chasing the Green Light" is the inaugural event in the new Public Forum series, which explores issues related to works presented at the Public Theater. The Oct. 18 event dovetails with the Elevator Repair Service production of Gatz, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby."

Hathaway ("Rachel Getting Married," "Princess Diaries") will conclude the 90-minute evening with a reading of Zelda Fitzgerald's letter to her husband. As previously reported, Sam Waterson, who appeared as Nick Carraway in the film of "The Great Gatsby," will host the evening dedicated to F. Scott Fitzgerald's iconic novel, the author's personal life and the current state of the American dream.

A roundtable discussion will feature Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson composer and lyricist Michael Friedman; "Bright Lights, Big City" author Jay McInerney; Pulitzer Prize-winning Topdog/Underdog playwright Suzan-Lori Parks; and "Gossip Girl" writer Cecily von Ziegesar.

The event will also feature a discussion with Huffington Post editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington and National Review contributor Reihan Salam. Jeremy McCarter will curate the evening.
