Original star Taylor, a friend of Potts for years, told via email, "I am particularly happy because I remember when she saw the show and came backstage she was really struck in some passionate place and said so — so she will doubtlessly bring heart and soul to the play (which it absolutely requires — that, and stamina!). As a fellow actress, I know she is eager to express a range and depth we all rarely get the chance to do, and I look forward to enjoying her do it!"

Potts, recently seen as Berthe in Broadway's Pippin, has also been seen on Broadway in God of Carnage.

The critically acclaimed one-woman show played through June 30, 2013, at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Benjamin Endsley Klein directed Taylor in its Broadway bow. She received the 2013 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and was nominated for a 2013 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play, Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance.

The play is described as "an intimate, no-holds-barred portrait of Ann Richards, the legendary Governor of Texas. This inspiring and hilarious new play brings us face to face with a complex, colorful and captivating character bigger than the state from which she hailed."

Additional details, including dates and venues, have not been announced.
