CEW Productions, the producers of the Off-Broadway musical Mama and Her Boys, present the reading, which begins at 4:30 PM.

Directed by Ethan Paulini, Stopgap features Doyle (Shakespeare Theatre's Mrs. Warren's Profession), Colby (Arena Stage's You Nero), Golden (Xanadu, The Full Monty), James Penca, Travis Blumer and Mary Katelin Ward.

Stopgap, according to press notes, "centers around a young woman who 'opts for the concreteness of motherhood when everything else in her life is muddy' in a town where white picket fence and 2.5 kids has long been the norm, a prospective single mother, her best friend and his husband try to find their own definitions of 'family.'"

Stopgap was first produced by Field Trip Theatre, as part of the 2012 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C., and was a finalist for the 2012 Larry Neal Writers' Award for Dramatic Writing, awarded by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

Snapple Theatre Studios is located at 210 W. 50th Street, 4th Floor. To reserve free tickets, e-mail [email protected].
