News Another Finalist Eliminated on "American Idol"; Six Contestants Remain Six contestants now remain on the Fox singing competition "American Idol XIII."

Dexter Roberts was eliminated during the April 17 broadcast after he received the fewest votes. From Fayette, AL, the 22-year-old sang “Muckalee Creek Water” on the April 16 performance show.

The competition will continue April 23 at 8 PM ET when the Top Six – C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, Alex Preston and Sam Woolf – get a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll as they perform two songs each, one country and one rock.

The next elimination show will air April 24 at 9 PM ET.

"American Idol XIII" is produced by FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment, a division of CORE Media Group. The series was created by Simon Fuller and is executive-produced by Simon Fuller, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Trish Kinane, Per Blankens, Jesse Ignjatovic and Evan Prager. Louis J. Former "American Idol" contestants who have taken to Broadway after their stint on "Idol" include Fantasia Barrino (The Color Purple, After Midnight), Taylor Hicks (Grease), Clay Aiken (Spamalot), Constantine Maroulis (Jekyll and Hyde, Rock of Ages), Diana DeGarmo (Hairspray, Hair), Frenchie Davis (Rent) and Jordin Sparks (In the Heights) as well as former "Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi (Chicago), among others.
