News Another Rabbit Hole: HERE to Present Puppet Alice in Wonderland , March 29-April 22 While the characters in David Lindsay-Abaire’s Rabbit Hole contend with loss and grief on Broadway, 40 or so blocks downtown another collection of less-human figures will dive down the original bunny tunnel.

From March 29 to April 22, the HERE Arts Center will present a puppet version of Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The piece is the creation of puppet artist Lake Simons and singer-composer-lyricist John Dyer. It will feature nine puppeteers and five musicians, including Dyer, who will play lead guitar and provide vocals and narration.

Among the characters the puppets will depict are the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar, the Dodo Bird and Mock Turtle. Puppet techniques employed include bunraku, shadow and handheld styles.

Simons and Dyer previously worked on What’s Inside the Egg? , which also played at HERE. Tickets are $20. Call (212) 868-4444.
