News Applause Books Reopens in Manhattan Nov. 19 Applause Books, the well known retail repository of plays and all volumes theatrical, will reopen on Nov. 19 after a renovation.

Applause Books, the well known retail repository of plays and all volumes theatrical, will reopen on Nov. 19 after a renovation. The event will be commemorated by a 6-8 PM reading and signing of Stewart F. Lane and Ward Morehouse III's play If It Were Easy.... Applause, owned by Glenn Young, is located off Broadway at 211 W. 71st Street.

Aside from plays, Applause also carries theatrical histories, biographies, criticism collections, scores and general reference book, as well as a full line of film-related publications. Along with Drama Book Shop of W. 40th Street, it satisfies the reading needs of much of the New York theatre community.
