David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane, who did the songs and book, respectively, for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, have adapted for the stage Pedro Almodovar's hit 1988 Spanish film comedy about an off-kilter actress suddenly dumped by her longtime lover.

"I did two workshops of it," Burstein said. "Patti LuPone was in the last one — Jessica Biel, too — terrific cast, and we're hoping everyone will go along with it."

Also on board for the last workshop was Sheri Rene Scott, just before The Second Coming of Everyday Rapture. "That happened days before this all started," she said at the Tony nominee meet 'n' greet on May 5 (she's twice nominated as the author and actress of Everyday Rapture). "It's really in amazing shape, and I would love to do it. I don't know where it stands, but it's a really rich role. I played Pepa, the woman who's having the affair. I had a really great time doing it."

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown will pop up on Lincoln Center Theater's fall schedule at its usual stand on Broadway, the Belasco, now being renovated. The show will be under the direction of Tony-winning Barlett Sher, who steered South Pacific into a two-year run at the Vivian Beaumont. That will close in August.
