News As the NY Mets Head to World Series, Theatre Actress Sings an Ode to Player Daniel Murphy Having clinched the National League pennant, New York Mets are headed to the World Series Oct. 27. To celebrate, one of their most devoted fans, theatre actress Maxine Linehan, has written and recorded a musical ode to infielder Daniel Murphy.

Linehan, who appeared in the Off-Broadway play Brontë: A Portrait of Charlotte, and recently made her debut at Feinstein's/54 Below in Manhattan, wrote new lyrics to "Danny Boy" with references to the ball player's heroics in the playoffs.
