News "As Time Goes By": Actors' Fund to Present All-Star Reading of "Casablanca"
Following the acclaimed presentations of "All About Eve" and "Sunset Boulevard," the Actors' Fund of America will offer an all-star reading of the landmark Warner Bros. screenplay "Casablanca."

Peter Hunt will direct the star-studded reading, which will be held Sunday, April 3 at the Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. "Casablanca" features a screenplay by Julius J. Epstein, Philip G. Epstein and Howard Koch, which will be adapted for the stage reading by David Rambo. Show time is 4 PM. Casting will be announced shortly. "Casablanca," according to production notes, "is the ultimate love story. Set in the gateway city of Casablanca during the Second World War, when Morocco was part of the Vichy government, the script masterfully evokes the intertwining acts of bravery, betrayal, intrigue and courage which go hand-in-hand with the personal cost of occupation and war. Ultimately, 'Casablanca' is about the transformative power of love." The film — starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman — won 1944 Academy Awards for Best Director (Michael Curtiz), Best Picture (Hal B. Wallis) and Best Writing (Epstein, Epstein and Koch).

The Pantages Theater is located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. Tickets, priced $28-$153, will be available through Ticketmaster after Feb. 1. VIP tickets, priced $250-$2,500, are currently available by calling (323) 933 9244, ext. 54.

The Actors' Fund of America is the only national non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. For more information, visit www.actorsfund.org.
