News Assassins To Be Revived and Michael Urie to Reprise Buyer and Cellar at London's Menier Chocolate Factory London's Menier Chocolate Factory is to stage Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins in a new production that will be directed by Jamie Lloyd as well as the U.K. premiere of Jonathan Tolins' Buyer and Cellar with Michael Urie reprising his Off-Broadway performance in the solo play.

Assassins will begin performances Nov. 21 for a run through March 7, 2015. The Menier Chocolate Factory has had a long association with the musicals of Stephen Sondheim, with its previous productions of both Sunday in the Park with George and A Little Night Music both transferring to the West End and Broadway. It also previously presented the U.K. premiere of Road Show, directed by John Doyle. Lloyd is currently represented in London by his productions of Richard III (Trafalgar Studios), The Commitments (Palace Theatre) and Urinetown (Apollo Theatre, previewing from Sept. 29).

Full casting and creative team are still to be announced.

Buyer and Cellar will begin performances March 11 for a run through May 2. In the show, Urie plays an out-of-work actor working in Barbra Streisand's personal shopping mall in the basement of her California home.

Urie is best known to U.K. audiences for playing Marc St. James in TV's "Ugly Betty." His theatre credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Broadway), The Cherry Orchard (CSC), Angels in America (Signature) and The Temperamentals (Lucille Lortel Award).

The Menier will also host a rare stage appearnce by veteran actress Joan Plowright, who will take part in An Evening with Joan Plowright Sept. 14, discussing her career that has spanned more than 60 years with director Richard Digby Day.

Tickets for Assassins and An Evening with Joan Plowright go on general sale from Sept. 1, with priority booking for Chocolate Factory Supporters from Aug. 28.
