A New York City Christmas, a 10 PM concert, will feature Broadway stars "singing fresh, original approaches — pop, soul, rock and more — to favorite holiday songs." Newly added performers include Spring Awakening's Skyler Astin, Legally Blonde's Andy Karl and Make Me a Song's Sally Wilfert, who join the previously announced Raul Esparza, Lauren Pritchard, Chester Gregory II, Sierra Boggess, Tyler Maynard, Tory Ross and Lindsay Mendez.

The artists, who are all donating their time, will be backed by a live band.

Conceived, produced and musical-directed by Drama Desk-nominated orchestrator Lynne Shankel, the evening will feature direction by Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima.

Proceeds from the evening will support ASTEP's mission to "create positive change for young people in need across the globe."

"We do have one original song in the evening, a number by Kenneth Jones and Gerald Stockstill, written for Sally Wilfert, from their new Christmas musical, Naughty/Nice," Shankel stated. "The rest are original arrangements of classic holiday songs crafted specifically for these performers. There's nothing buttoned-down about the show. Expect pop, R&B, Latin, rock and more." Also appearing will be Renee Bang Allen, Emily Thomas, Brandi Varnell, Kara Boyer, Tara Novie, Eric Michael Krop, James Slone, Erika Powell, Patrick Goodwin, Norman Payne, plus musicians Shankel (on piano), Joe Mowatt (drums/percussion), Randy Landau (bass), Peter Calo (guitars/mandolin), Michael Aarons (guitars), Scott Kreitzer (tenor sax), Cliff Lyons (tenor sax), Barry Danielian (trumpet), Sylvia D'Avanzo (violin) and Summer Boggess, sister of Sierra (cello).

The Zipper Factory is located in Manhattan at 336 West 37th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues. The $20 cover charge includes the performance and a chance to enter into a special Holiday Raffle; visit www.thezipperfactory.com for tickets.
