As previously reported, Argentinean actress Elena Roger and pop singer Ricky Martin will co-star in the revival that will be directed by Tony Award winner Michael Grandage and feature choreography by Tony winner Rob Ashford. Grandage, Ashford and Roger also collaborated on the 2006 London revival, which includes the song "You Must Love Me" from the film version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical.
Evita will open at a Nederlander theatre to-be-announced in 2012.
