The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA, has announced its tenth anniversary 2011-2012 season, which will include one-night-only performances from Tony Award winners Audra McDonald and Idina Menzel, as well as a limited engagement of the Broadway musical Fela! 

Kimmel Center's one-night-only performances will begin with kd lang Sept. 29. McDonald and Menzel will follow with concerts Oct. 1 and Nov. 3, respectively. David Sedaris and Tony Bennett will also offer one-night-only performances Oct. 15 and Nov. 4, respectively.

Fela! will run March 20-25, 2012, as part of the theatre's Broadway season presented in partnership with The Shubert Organization.

Other performances in the Broadway season include Rock of Ages (Oct. 18-23); Billy Elliot: The Musical (Nov. 16-27); Memphis (Jan. 17-22, 2012); Hair (Feb. 28-March 4, 2012); and West Side Story (March 27-April 8, 2012).

Exclusive extra performances that will go on sale to season subscribers before the general public include Drumline Live (Oct. 25 and 26); Gazillion Bubble Show (Nov. 4-6); Jersey Boys (Dec. 6-Jan. 14, 2012); Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles (Jan. 31, 2012-Feb. 5, 2012); and Beauty and the Beast (Jan. 5-10, 2012).

Other highlights from the season include Max Raabe & the Palast Orchester, which will re-create Berlin cabaret hits from the 1920s and early 1930s, March 2, 2012; Curtis Opera Theatre's production of Hans Werner Henze's Elegy for Young Lovers, March 14-18, 2012; and the opera Dark Sisters, with music by Nico Muhly and a libretto by Stephen Karam, which will have a single performance June 8, 2012.
