Broadway News Austin Scott Is Broadway’s New Hamilton Star Scott takes on the title role after appearing in the blockbuster musical’s national tour.

Austin Scott makes his Broadway debut February 19, taking on the title role in the mega-hit Hamilton. He takes over for Michael Luwoye, who took his finale bow at the Richard Rodgers Theatre February 16.

Scott joins the New York company after playing Founding Father Alexander Hamilton in the musical’s “Angelica” tour last year. His additional credits include the world premieres of Hood: The Robin Hood Musical Adventure and Gotta Dance, as well as regional productions of In the Heights and Choir Boy.

The current cast also includes Daniel Breaker as Aaron Burr, Denée Benton as Eliza Hamilton, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler, Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, Joanna A. Jones as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, Carvens Lissaint as George Washington, Anthony Lee Medina as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, Euan Morton as King George, and Wallace Smith as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison.
