Barnhart will play a detective on an episode of the acclaimed crime series that airs Sept. 29.
In a mass e-mail, the actress said, “I play a detective from Chicago (got to wear a badge and a rubber pistol and everything!) and I have a scene with Mariska Hargitay -- who really is that beautiful, and who really is as nice as you read she is. Keep an eye posted for me when her character Olivia Benson starts to head west in search of information. We go through some boxes of evidence together... it's not a big scene, but I've got seven or eight lines.”
