News Avenue Q's Stephanie D'Abruzzo to Star in Reading of Joyce Carol Oates' I Stand Before You Naked Avenue Q Tony nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo, most recently seen Off-Broadway in It Must Be Him, will star in a reading of Joyce Carol Oates' I Stand Before You Naked Nov. 28 at the Gerald Lynch Theater at John Jay College.

Directed by Bill Connington, the evening will benefit Safe Horizon, a charity that helps victims of domestic abuse (www.safehorizon.org). Show time is 7 PM; additional casting will be announced shortly.

I Stand Before You Naked, according to press notes, "presents an extraordinary array of women oppressed by their husbands, their lovers, and themselves - a searing look at misplaced love, infidelity, prostitution, and the primal desire to be loved."

A discussion panel on the oppression of women, with Oates and experts from the John Jay College faculty, will take place prior to the performance.

Razors Edge Productions, Small Pond Entertainment and Sarah Melissa Rotker produce.
