Benjamin, one of the duo who comprise the Grammy-winning hip-hop group OutKast, will star in the Double Features Film, according to Variety. The contemporary musical will feature characters who spontaneously burst into song. Benjamin will also co-produce and compose original music for the motion picture, which concerns a man with magical powers (Benjamin) who enters the world of a family.

Double Feature Films' Michael Shamberg told the industry paper, "We're going back to the heyday of Hollywood in that they'll be singing and dancing in the action. But they do that 24/7 on MTV. It's what every teen is used to."

Jeff Whitty's plays include The Plank Project, Suicide Weather, Balls and The Hiding Place. He is currently developing a film for Jennifer Aniston as well as a pilot for Fox Television. As an actor, he has worked Off-Broadway and regionally as well as in film and television and was recently seen in The Beard of Avon at New York Theatre Workshop.
