News AVID Touring Merges With AWA Touring for National Booking AWA Partners is the name of a new touring-show booking agency representing a merger between AVID Touring and AWA Touring. Alan Wasser, Allan Williams and Alison Spiriti announced on Sept. 11 that L. Glenn Poppleton and AVID Touring have joined forces with AWA Touring for this new operation.

AWA Partners specializes in tour management and direction for Broadway, family shows and attractions including American Idiot; Cathy Rigby  is Peter Pan; A Christmas Story, The Musical!; An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin; John Lithgow — Stories by Heart; Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!; Bonnie & Clyde; Cirque Dreams Holidaze; Grumpy Old Men — The Musical; Love, Loss, and What I Wore; Lysistrata Jones; One Night with Janis Joplin; Dreamgirls; A Chorus Line and more.

Past projects include The Phantom of the Opera, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Cirque Dreams, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Monty Python's Spamalot, Angels in America, Dora the Explorer Live!, Madagascar Live, Merchant of Venice starring F. Murray Abraham and Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake.

AWA Partners books full-weeks, split weeks and one-night engagements as well as regional theatres and arenas. Robin Mishik-Jett and Sean Mackey continue their respective roles as vice president and director of operations/business affairs. Jessica Francis will also continue in her position as operations manager.
