The play premiered in October 2013 at the Roundabout's Black Box Theatre as part of the Roundabout Underground season before transferring to the upstairs Laura Pels Theatre.
In the play, a beloved grandfather has died and a treasured family heirloom with religious significance is up for grabs. But who is most deserving of it? Bossy, overbearing, fanatically religious Daphna? Her wealthy cousin Liam who’s just returned from skiing with his non-Jewish girlfriend Melody? Or Jonah, his brother, who would prefer not to get involved in the fight?
The original Bath cast will reprise their roles for the St. James Theatre run. Jenna Augen, who has been nominated in the Best Supporting Performance category at the UK Theatre Awards, will play the role of Daphna, Gina Bramhill will play Melody, Joe Coen will play Jonah and Ilan Goodman will play Liam.
It is directed by Michael Longhurst, with designs by Richard Kent, lighting by Richard Howell and sound by Adrienne Quartly. It is produced by Danny Moar and Simon Friend for Theatre Royal Bath and St. James Theatre Productions.
