LOS ANGELES -- The Bad Smile, a new work by Ryan Michael Teller, premieres on July 10 at L.A.'s Lee Strasberg Theatre.
The Bad Smile was developed and first performed at the Pulse Ensemble Theatre in New York. A companion piece, Fear Of..., by the same author, will also make its world premiere.
A black comedy about sibling rivalry, dysfunctional sex and role-playing, The Bad Smile is directed by Robert Matiner, produced by Ira Teller. The ensemble cast is composed of Matiner, Brian Farley, Julie Trumbour and Caerthan Banks.
Teller's earlier play Habits was a finalist at South Coast Repertory's Playwriting Competition.
The Lee Strasberg Theatre is located at 7936 Santa Monica Blvd. The show runs 8 PM Thursday through Saturday, and 7 PM on Sunday. Tickets are $12.50, and half-price tickets are available for students. For tickets, call (213) 660-8587. -- By Michael Farkash
