The Tony-winning actress revealed in a TimeOut New York interview that plans are in the works. "I’m supposed to do Antony and Cleopatra with Theatre for a New Audience, but that’s not for a while," she told the magazine. A spokesperson for Theatre for a New Audience could not confirm the news. The company's 2006-2007 season has already been announced in full. It will include F. Murray Abraham starring in a double bill of William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice and Christopher Marlowe's The Jew of Malta as well as Neil Bartlett's adaptation of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist.
Baranski is known for her television turn in "Cybill" as well as film roles in "Chicago," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "The Birdcage" and "Cruel Intentions". The actress recently appeared in the lead of the Kennedy Center's production of Mame. Other credits include The Real Thing, Hurlyburly, Rumors and Lips Together Teeth Apart.
