Barrie, a former "Suddenly Susan" regular, is also a veteran of the stage. Her Broadway credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Torch Song Trilogy, California Suite, The Prisoner of Second Avenue and the original cast of Company — for which she was Tony Award-nominated.
