News Barbara Cook Will Sign "No One Is Alone" CD at New York Barnes & Noble Tony Award winner Barbara Cook will celebrate the release of her latest album, "No One Is Alone," with a signing at New York's Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle July 9 at 6 PM.

Filmmaker Rick McKay ("Broadway: The Golden Years") will be on hand to interview Ms. Cook about her current and upcoming work. A signing will follow. Based on Cook's Carnegie Hall appearance last November, "No One Is Alone" features a tune-stack that includes "Make Our Garden Grow," "I Wish I Could Forget You," "The Surrey With the Fringe On Top," "One More Kiss," "Something's Coming" and the title song.

This fall, Ms. Cook will mark her 80th birthday with two celebratory concerts. First up will be a performance at the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on Oct. 27, followed by a concert with the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall on Nov. 19.

Barbara Cook made her Broadway debut in 1951's Flahooley, after which the legendary soprano would win further acclaim originating roles in Plain and Fancy, She Loves Me and Candide. Cook won a Tony Award for her performance as Marian Paroo in The Music Man. She continues an extensive concert tour with numerous appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera.
